With a love and passion towards education and a belief that all students can learn Luis Vanegas is a Bilingual School Administrative with fourteen years of experience at 5 turnaround school who have beaten the odds.  With high integrity and strong moral work ethics and his knowledge of curriculum, teaching strategies, classroom management techniques and the ability to implement a successful school wide discipline program along with my ability to analyze data and allow it to drive instruction and work with all stakeholders has allowed him to always:  1.   • Recently asked to work for the Executive Director School and Student Services on:  Increasing parent engagement with focus on Latino Families, Decreasing Dangerous and Non-Dangerous suspensions in our buildings and develop informational reports on school referrals with an emphasis on suspensions, Developing a more stronger Mental Health Support for students and Families, Implementation of Restorative Practice at all our schools, Ethnic Studies course development, Summer Institute Planning for Principals and AP’s, Data Desegregation, Partnership for Change, Pre-K task force, and the Development of a new Teacher Observation tool

2016 – 2018

New Millennium Academy (School Administrator and Operations Manager)

  • Performed all responsibilities of the School Administrator and Director of Operations in my first year
